How does a page become an answer AI can cite?

Short answer: it needs to be accessible, clear, and backed. Google Search Central says pages shown in AI features rely on the same basics as normal Search: content Googlebot can crawl, snippets allowed for display, and structured data that matches visible content. Academic GEO research found that adding sources, statistics, and clear quotations can materially improve visibility in generative answers. So we do not add "GEO" at the end. We plan the page as a knowledge unit: question, answer, source, expansion, internal link. Less shiny than a particle screen. More useful when campaigns go quiet.

No. Google says AI features rely on the same Search basics: accessible pages, indexing, clear content, and snippet permissions. Ignore technical SEO and you do not get GEO. You get a nice page nobody reads.

No. FAQ Schema fits only when real questions and answers are visible to users on the page. Google limits FAQ rich results, but visible Q&A is still strong for AEO and clarity.
